Inspired by, and coinciding with, the 47th season of Sesame Street, a 10-week pop-up tour traveled across the country, introducing preschoolers and caregivers to the “letter of the day – K” and its special messaging about kindness. With such achieved success in year one, the pop-up tour hit the road for a second year, celebrating the 48th season and featuring a “new letter of the day – F” and messaging about friendship.
20 events and over 46,000 attendees reached in two years!
Each stop included three, 15-minute live stage shows followed by meet and greets with beloved characters, Elmo and Abby Cadabby.
Through their partnership with local libraries, as well as HBO Kids and public television stations, Sesame’s Pop Up Tours celebrated literacy and promoted reading in local communities by bringing hands-on digital learning tools, bilingual Spanish / English books, and reading activities to each event.
To round out the experience, fans had the opportunity to visit the iconic Sesame Street stoop and pose for the "Letter of the Day" GIF so caregivers could share their one-of-a-kind play experience on social media.
